Kohl’s launches Yes2You Rewards

Kohl’s Department Stores launched its Yes2You Rewards program on October 6th. Having run a successful pilot over the past two years, where it enrolled more than 10 million members, Kohl’s has taken the bold step to roll out the program nationwide.

Calling Yes2You a “customer focused” program, Kohl’s says it is aimed at creating a personalized and valuable shopping experience across all channels. Kohl’s is giving consumers the ability to earn points for most purchases in-store or online at Kohls.com.

“We are inspired by our customers and want to create personal connections to thank them for all the ways they interact with our brand,” said Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief customer officer. “Yes2You Rewards is authentic to who we are as a company, offering exceptional value we know is important to our customers and allows us to engage in two-way dialogue to help deliver unique, meaningful experiences.”

Consumers can enroll in the free loyalty program and start raking in points with no set limit. Members will earn 1 point for every $1 spent (points are rounded up to the nearest dollar) and receive a $5 dollar Yes2You Rewards coupon once they accumulate 100 points. That’s effectively a 5% deferred rebate on purchases made by its members.

Rewards are issued at the end of each month and are automatically uploaded to Kohl’s mobile wallet. Rewards can also be mailed or printed online based on the member’s preference.

Members using the Kohl’s mobile app can present a digital copy of the rewards card to the cashier during checkout to facilitate earning points. Members can also track the total points earned, available rewards, and even share points if in the giving mood.

“Kohl’s is taking a true leadership position in retail loyalty, building on our decades of experience with our successful Kohl’s Charge platform and the personal connections we make in-store and online with millions of customers every day,” said Gass.

The Yes2You Rewards program provides additional incentives for consumers to enroll in the program featuring surprise and delight tactics, 8 savings offers per year, birthday acknowledgement, and exclusive bonus point earning opportunities.
In rolling out Yes2You, Kohl’s has taken a strong step to create a loyalty program that is mobile and flexible, adding value to the omni-channel shopping experience for all of its consumers.
